Ancient timepiece

Behind the east end of York Minster - which is slowly being revealed again having been shrouded in scaffolding for many years now - this lovely little sundial stands proud on top of a pillar. Not sure how accurate it is as a timepiece now but at least there was plenty of sun today to create the required shadow.
