Beached
The lifeboat pager went off at about 4pm as a yacht was aground near Godrevy.
I had a chat with the skipper and the story was that the 29 foot yacht "Moody" had intentionally beached herself by Red River today as the unseasonable swell and winds were too strong for a safe passage into St Ives. Both lifeboats stood bye but it was clear nothing could be done until the tide came in so they stood down and returned later in the evening to assist in refloating her.
but I prefer the made up caption of the lifeguard talking to the skipper saying "You can't park there me 'ansome, we only allow swimmers between the red and yellow flags"
