Me and my shadow

Just as I was taking shots of the dead spider that was the first thing I saw when I opened the door this morning,  a beautiful swallowtail landed on the marigold.    I managed to get a couple of quick shots of it and its shadow before it fluttered off.  I've included a second shot of it and one of the spider.  I was so tempted to blip the spider anyway, but having the option of adding it as an extra meant I could blip the prettier butterfly.
Not sure what kind of spider this is.  We thought it might be an orb weaver.  It's quite big, whatever it is.  Spiders fascinate me, but I keep my distance from big ones like this and I'm glad I found it outside, not in the house.  :)
