Sanna Bay
The original plan was to park up and walk along the North coast of the Ardnamurchan peninsula for a few days before getting here and get he bus out. Luckily, I checked the bus companies website which said "regretfully we no longer allow dogs on our buses". As we had two mad pooches with us and there's only one bus a day, run by this company - they lost some fares and we changed our plans.
We drove to the peninsula's official campsite in Kilchoan, but he was fully booked (even though the website said no booking necessary outside July and August) and al he could offer us was a very slopey pitch next to a hornets nest. So, upshot was, we ended up on the perfect breezy, midge-free(ish), pitch next to the sea and around the corner from Sanna Bay. Completely free as well!!
Half a bottle of Jamesons and a perfect sunset was the antidote to abusy week, and for my pal Dave, a long hard drive in holiday traffic all the way from Berkshire..actually he and his dog Hunny were both snoring by the time the sun set.
