Calm Sea

We were surprised to see these soft cooler shades and such a calm sea with lovely clouds above, certainly a good day for fishing with not too much wind. Our day has been sunny and cold with snow on the mountains, a real nip in the air.
 
After taking R to Day care, daughter 'flying' and I did our grocery shop, had a wander along the riverbank beside the Kaiapoi River and then enjoyed lunch at our favourite café. Hot tomato, bean and sausage soup - it went down well after being out in the cold.
 
On the way home we saw some amazing clouds heading out to sea and decided to stop off at Pegasus Beach which is where this shot was taken.
 
Lovely day to be out and about.
