Isle of Barra

Backblip.

A very windy day meant a choppy crossing on the 5 hour crossing to Barra (extra photo). While in the ferry queue at Oban I was looking out to the islands when from the next car came the lady vicar from my village who was going to Mull. What an amazing coincidence! 

All of the island accommodation was taken due to a wedding on the island but the campsite was scenic though the night was very cold. The tent was pitched right on the clifftop with lovely views. On one side was where this rainbow appeared in the evening sun and on the other was the ocean (extra photo shows the sunset taken outside the tent).
