Pollença
The receptionist at our hotel, when asked where we should go, said that Pollença old town was worth a visit. She said you could climb almost 1000 steps to the top of the hill and the view was fantastic.
In reality there were only 365 steps..... I didn't count them, I couldn't!, but the guide book said so. Once we recovered the view was fantastic.
On Good Friday, villagers enact a Stations of the Cross on the road up the hill while carrying a cross to the top to the chapel called Calvary which is there. I could barely carry myself!!!
It was worth the climb, in around 34 degrees of midday sunshine, the views were fantastic and a sense of achievement too.
