Blue Butterfly
I went out early for a very short stroll down the road, taking photos of a wild rabbit in a field and bees on cow parsley. As the day went on it got hotter and hotter so we popped down to Les Mielles in hope of seeing Cinnabar Moths and their caterpillars. They lay their eggs on ragwort which the catterpillars eat, but the ragworth was quite small, so too early. I expect in a week or so they'll be around, so we'll go back then. We did see three Painted Ladies fluttering around, they looked like new so maybe part of the new migration?
We also went across to the Orchid Field which is where I saw this beautiful blue butterfly resting in the sun.
We had a big storm with torrential rain which has now stopped, it feels cooler!
The public meeting we went to last night was very good and got very heated at times. The politicians feed us the same old lines in their patronising manner, but there were some excellent questions from the floor. More and more information is coming out that makes the whole development look irresponsible. Lets hope they do the decent thing for a change, instead of ploughing ahead and making a mess at huge expense to the taxpayers!
