Receptive
The stigma of this poppy is full of anticipation of pollination. If you look in large you can see some detail (although this was hand held in the wind).
Aggie had her steroid injection today. It was more painful than I remembered from Arth, but I made the mistake of looking at the syringe and seeing the volume of fluid that was about to go into the joint. I'm not squeamish at all, well only a tiny bit, but this was rather off putting.
The surgeon commented that the extra swelling in my knee, no doubt from doing 7 miles yesterday, would help him find the joint space.
Thank goodness for paracetamol.
I pottered into the garden in the evening light, against the advice of my carer, to capture this picture. It's beautiful out there.
Now for 48 hours rest. I'll have to miss the Roman Wall Show, but it will be worth it if this injection works.
