Fresh as the moment when...

Against my better judgement I introduced Miniman to the shelled pea today. This has to be one of my most favourite foods ever. None ever make it as far as the pot. Everything from the noise as it pops to pushing the peas out and then savouring every one. Part of me wanted him to be underwhelmed but it was not to be. He was enthralled as I am. We polished off the whole bag between us gigging as the pods popped. I guess I'll just have to buy twice as many :)
I used to sit on the wall outside my Nana's house in South Wales with a big bowl of peas with her next door neighbour shelling peas. We always had to have about three times as many as we needed as I ate so many.
