Graceful

This is our resident female blackbird who we've called 'Grace' - she was once utterly stunning in her breeding feathers, but now she's looking a little worse for wear, but then, she has raised a nest full of chicks and she's now raising yet another brood.  She is the daughter of 'Bonnie', or 'Bonkers Bonnie' we used to call her, who sadly disappeared around 2 years ago, but her Daddy - 'Clive' is still around!  Grace's mate is 'Thug' - yes, that is his name as he is just that... I don't know what she sees in him!  He's so aggressive, he bullies everyone, he flies at Louie Robin for no reason at all, he snaps at sparrows and chases every blackbird away with violence - he broke one other blackbirds wing and this poor thing has a permanent twisted wing and can hardly fly (I actually haven't seen him for a while, oh dear) - so yeah, Grace and Thug - charming, but she is, she's beautiful, even without a tail! 

This was meant to be the day of my dad's op - well do you know it was cancelled YET AGAIN FOR THE THIRD TIME!  We waited there all the way up till 4pm and was told there were too many on the list, they were running behind and there were no spare beds - even though my dad was meant to be a priority!  I realise the NHS is overstretched, but now lightening as struck in the same place for the 3rd time and it's all just becoming a farce!  He's so shattered, me too, we're both so emotionally drained and fed up of the whole affair! :( xx
