Surveying His Kingdom

This majestic Bald Eagle was sitting on his high perch gazing out over the meadow.  He seemed very content and didn't seem at all interested in the Prairie Dogs running around on the ground below him.  I think they are mainly fish eaters and we weren't far from a lake so he had probably had his fill.  I loved his pose but wish the light had been better!  At least there was a bit of blue behind him.  We're having cloudy weather and rain again.
