the long way round?

8:30am and walking into work from Morningside.

Had to bring the car for post-work requirements. As a result, parked a few miles away from the office and walked in. It was glorious, warm and dry.

Walking down Lothian Road, I noticed the lampposts were adorned with London 2012-related banners.

A quick check of geographical landmarks and I confirmed I was still in Edinburgh. Clearly, something was awry.

Then I realised that it's all part of a long diversion route.

Which ultimately led to the office building I work in.

Or so it would appear.
