Imagine

This is the view from Craiglockhart Campus of Napier University. A glorious, sunny day with a hazy view right across Edinburgh, over the Forth and with Fife in the far distance. 

Nearly 100 years ago, Siegfried Sassoon and Wilfred Owen would have seen this view as they recuperated. Today I stood here, chatting to a lovely lady from Germany about the war poets, Orwell's 1984 and how things have changed and yet not changed.
