The old pump

Almost a fortnight ago the pump in our hot water and central heating boiler finally gave up the ghost. It had been wheezing , clanking and occasionally sticking for a few months ( sending the water temperature shooting up until the safety cut off intervened) so it was probably fortuitous that it waited till summer before finally seizing.

The new one came quite quickly and is now fitted .

The first impression is of silence - hardly a sound.
