24 hour Everest Ice Wall Challenge

Sir Chris Bonington and Doug Scott CBE are leading a 24 hour challenge at Keswick Ice Wall today.

If the ice wall is climbed 1000 times, by the general public as well as Chris and Doug, it will be the  equivalent of climbing Everest. The event celebrates the first British ascent of Mount Everest in 1975, led by Sir Chris and summited by Doug.

All donations and funds will go to Community Action Nepal Earthquake Appeal. Lives have been devastated, homes destroyed, families bereaved and children orphaned...
