Guy's Cliffe ruins
Looking out over the river in the background you can see Guys Cliffe ruin, which is named after the cliff it was built on, the ruined house dates back to 1751, the new owner of the house intended to convert it into a hotel but these plans never came to anything and the house fell into disrepair. The roof fell in in 1966. In 1992 during the filming of Sherlock Holmes, a fire scene got out of control. English Heritage has given the building grade 11 listing.
