Surprise Heron

We were just about to set off for our weekend away when I saw this Heron sat on the edge of the field over the road.  I jumped out of the car and un packed my camera and started to take photographs. I expected the bird to fly off straight away, but it just stood there seemingly uninterested in what I was up to. This was indeed a very patient individual which allowed me to take about a dozen shots. It then stood and watched me as I drove away!
