BeWilderwood to ourselves
Well very nearly. So ok it is a two hour drive, but so is Birmingham and we went there last Sunday for the afternoon (OK we saw amazing international athletics but it was still only an afternoon), we were so lucky with the weather, dry and sunny but not too hot. There was one (whole)school trip there and very few others. The most they had through the gates was 300 according to a member of staff, when it can be up to 3000. Consequently we felt like we had the place to ourselves, particularly after 2.15 when the school group left. No queuing for anything, at all.
We all did the Skymaze, Carys smashed her shin on the zip wire on the Tricky Tunnels, she will have an amazing bruise. They took part in the story telling, we all did the Broken Bridge and the slide at the end. We had lunch then attacked the Slippery Slopes (me too). Had a swing on a 'three' swing, visited the FarTree and the Witch's House, wandered round the Muddle maze and had loads and loads of goes on the Wobbly Wires. We were there at 10.30 and left at 17.30. I was home by 19.30 and by that point two filthy and tired kids had had their tea and had been asleep for an hour. G&T time now. baths all round in the morning, followed by washing all the bedding they are currently asleep in!
