Cygnet hunting
This morning, I stopped at Gunknowe Loch on my way to work to see if there was any sign of the three cygnets that I blipped last week. There were very few swans out on the loch, only four, which is very unusual although, I could see there was one more on the island which I thought would possibly be the mother with her young ones.
I took some shots of the Loch without bird as it is a lovely place and only five minutes walk from the house. After work, I stopped by again and this time I managed to capture the elusive family (see Extra photo). There are still three cygnets, which is great as all but one last year disappeared possibly at the hand of one of the large pike that live in the loch.
