Honesty
Just tidying up and replanting some pots for the summer. I've put some red Turks Cap lilies into a large green pot to see if the colour combination works.
My daughter planted purple sprouting broccoli and red chard and then tied up the beans. Carol Klein talked about the June gap tonight on Gardeners World. I just think it is all so full of potential. Although the spring flowering has finished, there are still the annuals and the herbaceous perennials to enjoy. Not to mention flowering shrubs, roses and the grasses.
The honesty is at its most interesting stage now, with the seedheads forming. There's a paeonia bud in the foreground.
