Reward.
Evening all,
Apparently last friday evening when we got to LLangollen (which is very Welsh as it has 4 L'S in it) the sunset was "spectacular" and "amazing".
To hear the tale fully would leave you in no doubt that it was the best sunset in the world, bar none, ever, and since then i have been advised to be ready with the camera to capture a similar sunset....
It has since rained every night and no sign of a sunset to speak of.
however due to a break in the clouds last night there was feverish activity on the holiday home balcony, and a competition was declared to find who could take a picture of the best sunset...
this didn't win.
That prize (a mighty £4.50 and a bit of fluff from my trouser pocket) went to my soon to be 15yrs god son, who, for sheer exuberance and enthusiasm, deserved the reward.
He was to be found standing on a rickety table, on a balcony, with his compact camera on a tripod, pointing in completely the wrong direction to catch any of the sun's dying rays, whilst i clung onto his legs in case he fell off.
Best part of an hour we were there, him snapping away merrily and me clutching desperately.
and if an adolescent boy is prepared to spend that much time and effort taking piccies and interacting with old people, then i think that's definitely worth £4.50 of anyones money!!
Night all.
