Don't Be Deceived

He can be fully awake and aroar in a heartbeat. The dock isn't very big and must be defended from all usurpers, so there is lots of noise and posturing and baring of teeth. This guy was sleeping soundly, then suddenly rose up and chased off another sea lion who was trying to slither up from the water. Seconds later he settled back down as if from a bad dream and was back fast asleep before the defeated one knew what happened. The winner's secret: he snores in his sleep. Gentle fluffing sounds that made me smile.
