Baby Plum
... as a matter of fact, Dutchoak has never enjoyed a proper plum harvest.
I used to read a book for the kids about a family that had so much plums they ate nothing but it for a whole year...
Pests, plagues, blights, frost, general lazyness during harvest time have all attributed to this sorry situation.
But now, Dutchoak, being a lover of all kinds of plums (preferably the fermented, distilled kind called Slivovitsj, the stuff that may have been one of the causes of the Balkan war because of the intemarate behaviour its ingestion causes (but now I'm disgressing)) is about to enjoy a bumper harvest of big, purple, juicy plums!
