"Colonial Castings"

Today I decided to mount my f1.8 45mm lens and go to Katoomba in search of some shallow dof urban artifacts. This wrought iron gate was manufactured by "Colonial Castings". Ooooh. That sounded old and interesting ... buuut I was wrong. The company was only founded in 1947 and recently has come to specialise in replica antique items. On top of everything else this wasn't wrought iron at all - just cast aluminium alloy and was probably made last month. Oh well.
