Shiny Rocks

There was a brief but torrential thunderstorm very early this evening. It only lasted about a half an hour but it flooded paths and streets. Afterwards, the sun shone brightly as ever ~ as if the thunderstorm had never happened.

As I was taking this photo of the rainwater receding and evaporating off of these rocks, a neighbor asked me, "What are you taking a picture of?" I answered, "Just these rocks," to which she replied, "Oh...I thought there was an animal there."

I said, "No...just shiny rocks."
