World Gin Day

Where better than to celebrate World Gin Day than at the Edinburgh Gin Distillery in Rutland Place. It was such an interesting place made even better by trying some samples. Here is their seaside version to celebrate summer with.

Some Gin facts for you:

In 1777 Edinburgh had eight licenced distilleries, and an estimated 400 unlicensed.

During the 80 years war in the Low Countries, British soldiers drank gin prior to battle giving them'Dutch courage'.
