The Great Outdoors

My garden needs plenty work done to it. But after a working week of sunshine and warmth, along comes a grey, cold, damp Saturday.

10c at lunchtime.

I did manage a few minutes tidying the greenhouse and planting out a seedling. Purple Brussels sprouts. Watch this space come the autumn.

I had too many Brussels sprouts and chard seedlings, so I took them along to the community allotment where I was volunteering last Saturday.

It's part of a large allotment area, and Greener Kirkcaldy use their section to teach people gardening skills. The hope is they'll use them at home, or in their own allotment.

So, an excuse to pop back there later in the year to check on whether they're better than me at growing the same things! Just kidding. Different soil, and general environment.

The Blip is the allotment area - RWG stands for Ravenscraig Walled Garden.

Hope the heating comes on soon.
