Rose

A very dull day today with drizzly rain, grrrh.    I accompanied my daughter, Emma, to Pontypool town to buy some straw and a hessian potato bag.  What for you might ask?  Well its that time of year when Abersychan village holds the "Best Scarecrow" competition.   Not having entered before, Emma thought she would give it a try.  It has to be made from scratch and placed in a prominent position in the garden where it will be judged later this month.   I wish her good luck and will blip it when its finished. 

Today's blip is the first rose to appear in my garden.
