Blue Birthday Cake

For the Eldest's birthday, we are going to have a spa pool cake. She has chosen to have the inside of the cake coloured blue. A bit crazy, but hey...when it is your birthday, it is your choice.

Her birthday is next Tuesday, but she is having her party on Sunday the 10th, so we decided to get baking this afternoon. Her sister is off having a farewell play with one of her best friends. Her friend is moving to Ireland. Her friend is a twin, and she has 3 year old twin sisters. Her mum has decided to move to Ireland, as it is where she is from, and her dad is currently working 3 weeks on, 1 week off in India. Flights are shorter to Ireland, than NZ, so given that the mum has family support in Ireland, it is a no brainer decision for them.
