Bird Bath or Shower?

This morning was humid and heavy.....we walked down into town to get a couple of things we needed.........before heading home for our usual Saturday dippy eggs and soldiers for lunch!

After lunch I sat in the garden, on the decking, slightly obscured by the balustrade, and watched this young thrush taking a shower under the water fountain in our little pond! It was happily flapping around and drinking, that was until a flock of starlings descended and started to wreak havoc and disrupt the peace and quiet turning it into an all out pool party!!!! I was going to blip a shot with several birds but they weren't particularly well focused, I preferred this one :-)

Once the pool party was over I went inside to make some spicy beef burgers ready for later, then we ran son home, picked up his wife from her mums en route, had a quick cuppa with them, before coming back home.

We've enjoyed the burgers, with some freshly dug up potatoes from the garden, and a fresh side salad, followed by our own strawberries and ice cream.......its a hard life :-)

Finally, I've caught up with my blips, having been a day behind since Wednesday. Ive back blipped yesterday's if you'd care to take a look.
