Tradescantia

This grows wild round here but this is a garden variety. The blues are lovely although the flowers are not very conspicuous among all the green foliage. It is a typical monocot with its three petals and floral parts in threes.

We had more rain this morning, although the sun has come out this afternoon, but not for long I fear. Our nephew in Denver says they had 3.5 inches on Monday. We have not had as much as that in one go.
