Nesting

We've spent the day building furniture and decorating our spare room, ready for little un... 

I'm really pleased with the result,  still bits and pieces to do, but the overall theme is a place to dream, to play and to adventure... 

I do feel very strange though putting the room together and also posting a picture... I'm really worried that I'll jinx things...

To our lovely friends that we haven't been fortunate enough to catch up with recently,  and also to fellow blippers that may just be dropping by, the back story to this blip is as follows... 

We've  have been in the adoption process for the last two and a half years.   We were approved to be parents last summer and have been waiting since then for a suitable match.  Back in March we received the file on a little girl, and since then we've been finding out more about her and gradually dreaming our dream whilst going through the various stages of the process.  We have a matching panel in a couple of weeks, this is where a panel of social workers confirms the match and gives it the stamp of approval... We should then get to meet little un towards the end of July... we'll get to know her over the space of  a few weeks and then she 'll move in with us... 

My superstitious streak is  petrified that everything will fall through at the last minute and that we shouldn't display too much happiness and excitement for fear of provoking the faerie realm...  but my organised planning streak is telling me  that we need to think the best, be excited and to prepare for the adventure to come...  

Today common sense and planning is at the forefront... 

It's likely to be a few weeks  before I post any more updates... but today has felt significant and worth sharing with the world, as it's the first time since buying our house that we've properly acknowledged that there is nothing spare about this room... There is intention, hope and dreams in this room...
