Rambling Rector

That is the name of this tiny, creamy white rose which clambers over a Crab Apple tree. At the beginning of the week it had about 30 open flowers, now they are uncountable and there are many more to come. I wish I could send the amazing scent with the photo but use your imagination for the most gentle all-pervading sweet perfume and you will almost have it! Today I walked round the garden weeding as I went (2 full barrow loads) and found the Wild Strawberries had absorbed all that lovely rain and were perfect to eat. The wild Common -spotted Orchids had burst into flower, 9 good flower spikes, orchids thrive on rain too, and the Twayblade has survived the attentions of the rabbits. And all the time I was serenaded by a Song Thrush, a Blackbird and a Blackcap and Goldfinches, Robins and Great Tits were feeding their young. The sun shone almost all day too!
