Today's Dads 64th birthday.. ...I knew it was coming up but forgot to send a card. The family were all getting together for a night of jazz at gardens near them which we'd initially vetoed on the grounds that Ben would be a total nightmare being out way past bedtime. But since our week in the van and with these light nights, his bed time's got later and later so we made a last minute call to head home and surprise the birthday boy.

He was suitably surprised, the jazz was ok, Ben had an ace time with his cousins, I got away with hand delivering Dad's card, it stayed dry. Winners!
