Day Two of the Mission . . .
finds this power box on the edge of a small park. I could only find out that the artist is Mark Noble a local from Rotorua. The abstract Koru on it remind me of the work of Gordon Walters who made a series of well known prints in New Zealand. There are also warrior faces, fantails, taiaha (spears) and little red fern leaves on it. Black, white and red are traditional colours used in Maori art.
