Summer flowers

The day started with a fine rain, just damp enough to flatten your hair but not enough to nourish the garden. I always enjoy seeing these wild summer flowers growing by the side of the road at this time of year, and could not resist taking photos of them.

Adam has his second chemistry exam tomorrow but has gone off to school for a dance rehearsal for Strictly Come Dancing...I did not think that was wise but he says he is on top of things. I have just found out that Chris Hollins, the sports journalist who is an old boy from their school, is coming to judge their Strictly Come Dancing competition which takes place just before the end of term. He won the real Strictly Come Dancing in 2009. Apparently at the moment Adam and his partner Lucia are the favourites to win, but last year it was won by Luke and his partner and they were ranked as outsiders, so who knows...
