Mrs Smith: Joe, do you know what you look like?

He only escaped a clip round the ear because his mum was laughing so much.

His big sister is just out of shot trying on hiking boots to go with the hat and rucksack Joe is modelling. There was also a decent sleeping bag needed. All for the upcoming D of E expedition. Then there was all the gear to buy for the summer holiday. We recuperated in Pizza Hut for a short while in between more shops.

I escaped for a restorative bike ride in the evening sun as soon as we got home.
