The morning after

So it got a bit dreich last night, but we didn't let that dampen our spirits. We jury rigged and extra awning outside the bongo using a groundsheet, cable ties and tent poles so we could all fit under it.

We also kept the fire going well, mainly thanks to Sam's expertise and enthusiasm, my axe and even the assistance of the campsite owner's daughter who pointed me in the direction of more firewood we could use.

We got a decent sleep in the tent too and woke up to the last embers of the fire. We cheated a wee bit and headed to the on site cafe for coffee an poached eggs on toast.

It was a great night with good company and good laughs. It was still a wee bit dreich in the morning so we were packed up and home by late lunchtime and headed into the spa to try and get over the smell of camp fire that was permeating everything, relaxing as it was it didn't quite work though.
