shattered

Some years ago, the remnants of an antique synagogue were discovered  in the old town of our city. To protect this place, a glass cage was build over the area. 
A few days ago, a part of that glass wall was found totally  shattered  to pieces. Of course, malicious mischief was suspected. But it turned out, that other physical circumstances like frost in the winter followed by great heat in the summer just lead to material fatigue over the years…. 

btw - I think the timbered houses in the background make a great motive for next monomonday "angle"
