The Wind Beneath My Wings

No, not the famous Bette Midler song (one of my favorites), but the airing out this house finch felt it needed to 'blow the stink off,' as my late father would say.  For such a small bird, this is an amazing display of spread feathers.

The finches, by the way, are spending more and more time at the hummingbird feeders.  I'll have to investigate whether or not this is normal behavior.  Does anyone know?
