Mr Woodpecker's back

The wind split the tree with a thunderous a crack
But today I'm so pleased Mr. Woodpecker's back.

Thank you for all your kind words and sympathy yesterday. I was afraid the birds would feel too exposed to feed with half the lilac tree missing, but delighted to say that the small birds and even the woodpecker are feeding as merrily as ever. Still very windy today, but at least a little brighter, and no rain so far.
