On the Channel

Today is John's birthday. We've had various celebrations over the course of the day. In the evening just the two of us went to Mark's on the Channel, a floating restaurant with a deck outside. We like going out there for special occasions or on warm nights like tonight. 
The hay is picked up; there is no rain in sight. A mama deer is teaching her Bambi baby the ropes about eating my birdseed and roses. She is in my extra photo. We are eating fresh berries and greens from the garden daily. Such a good time of the year!
