My lovely daughter Kelly's birthday today. I'm not able to share it with her...but going to see her in the week for a little visit..we have plans!

This Rose 'Goldfinch' is a rambler..will grow to ten feet (if you let it) ....has a wonderful fruity perfume (oranges and bananas) and makes a real statement. I first fell in love with it when I visited Mottisfont Nat. Trust for the first time. We picked Kelly up from Winchester...where she was at college doing her degree....about 23 years ago. Weather permitting this week, she and I are going there.....to see the wonderful collection of David Austin Roses. Heaven on a stick!
