Butterfly World. - entrance free.

Day one of the holiday proper. One of our expert friends has kindly marked our Dordogne map with crosses. Entering the mapcodes into the Satnav leads us to two good sites.

The rain has passed over and we have a cloudy day with sunny periods. Quite good for photography I am led to believe.

The main photograph is a female Knapweed Fritillary which kindly stayed still for several minute.
The first extra is a Marbled White of which there were large numbers.
If the second extra works it is the flower of a Spurge complete with visitor.
There were good numbers of Lizard Orchids and several others including Pyramidal and Bee and Marsh. But most were past their best.
