Early days

They have started work to uncover parts of the River Roche which flows under the town centre, and Rochdale Bridge, parts of which are medieval. The river and its bridges were covered in the early 20th century but when it was temporarily revealed for bridge maintenance in the '90s, there was a call to keep it like that. It's taken some time to raise the cash and it seems that not alot of progress has been made yet, at least not much that is visible.
