Horniman

Checked out of our hotel in Southwark just before midday and drove down to South London to go to the Horniman Museum.  Had a nice wander around the gardens - great views over London - then had lunch in the café there, sitting outside.  We had a look around the museum itself, then another little (hilly) jaunt around the gardens, and then we drove on to Surrey.  Visited my friend Lizzie, who moved to Epsom just before Christmas, and whose new house I hadn't seen yet.  It is beautiful!  We had a lovely time with her - tea and cake and her sweet little boys, George and James (aged 4 and 18 months).  

Left there and carried on to Dorking, where we checked into another hotel for the night.  We'd been thinking we'd go out for dinner, but we were tired and the hotel was right next to a Tesco Express, so we ended up having a 'room picnic' instead :)
