Lakeside

The coarse fishing lakes at Wellow, part of the River Blackwater and its associated waters, were particularly serene today.
There were a handful of anglers on the banks who looked well established for the day, but the water itself appeared tranquil, and there was little, if anything to disturb the peaceful air.
The water itself was crowned with displays of water lilies and there was a calm and composed air over the lakes.

I am no angler myself, but I can see the attraction of being able to spend an hour or two on the bank, contemplating whether the fish are going to take the bait or not.
