The long descent
Another fantastic day in the hills - even if we never saw the top of any. The day started with a steady climb up Fairfield. The clag had rain in it this time and quite chilly in the breeze. We dropped down to Brothers Water and then up again. Given the lack of views we skipped the scenic detour over High Street and skirted the south end of it to Kidsty Pike.
From there it was pretty much downhill all the way. Gentle descent on grass tracks was. A treat for the feet after Saturday's rocky tops. Just a couple of km of farmland at the end and we were crossing the M6 and into Penrith.
We celebrated our Ravenglass to Penrith jaunt with a fine curry and a cold beer!
Just spotted that I got Friday and Saturday's blips the wrong way round.
