The Big Cruise Day 24: Tranquil morning
Early morning at Welsh Frankton, at the canal junction which takes the Montgomery Canal on it's 30 mile journey to Newtown.
Or at least it once did. Massive efforts over many years by voluntary effort have seen much of this delightful canal restored. Many more years of such effort are still needed.
At the very beginning of the canal the locks greet boaters as they embark on exploring the first 7 miles of re-opened waterway. I want to do that some day but there is no time to do it justice on this trip.
In my humble opinion - a sunny day is not essential to take a pleasing picture. In any case, I like reflections like these.
[Explanation: Big Cruise Blips begin on 9th April (where there's an introduction) and last nearly 8 weeks with a break in the middle. I am catching up with the back-blipping]
